D. Scot Miller hosts this open event the first Tuesday of Every Month
at The Luggage Store Gallery that invites Eulipions who are Knot Frum Hear, to offer their gifts to fellow travelers. As D. Scot reveals his novel, chapter by chapter, and the event proceeds, artists will be invited back to the shores of Eulipia for an art exhibit and opening performance.

Visual artists, craftsfolks, photographers, if you’re knot frum hear,  you’ll fit right in. Strikin’. All Feet. All Soul.

D. Scot Miller
Douglas “D. Scot” Miller is a Bay Area writer, visual artist, and  teacher. A founder of The BlackBard Writing Collective, a regular contributor to The East Bay Express, YRB NYC, Showcase Magazine, and has published the afro-surreal Knot Frum Hear(an excerpt will appear in the forthcoming Bronx Biannual Two  Akashic Books  February 2007), and Slicker, a book of poems.

Danny Cao
Leader of The Duuy Quintet, Trumpeter Danny Cao has been performing with the instrumental groove band Vinyl for the past 10 years in many notable local and national venues. DU UY Quintetsidentity is found within the stylistic interplay of the musicians rather than a pre-defined style of music.
This allows DU UY Quintet the compositional freedom to write and perform music of varying styles (funk, boleros, jazz, electronica, drum and bass, samba, rock, cha cha, bossa nova, et al) yet still retain a strong, identifiable group sound.

Shawn Taylor
Poetry Slam Veteran, published author, and DIY Book Festival winner, Shawn Taylor has published Big Black Penis: Misadventures in Race and Masculinity, a window into the author’s life, and has a forthcoming book with 33 and 1/3 Press on Tribe, Quest’s People’s Instinctive Travels and The Paths of Rhythm.
